Someone has to start.
Originally, we just wanted to renovate our own house. We were looking for building materials that are healthy, regenerative and at the same time technically convincing. But the closer we looked, the clearer it became: good materials did exist — but they were often hard to find, difficult to combine and not as available as real change in construction would require.
It quickly became clear to us that the building transition does not fail for lack of ideas. It fails because good solutions too rarely make their way out of the niche and into the market. And that is exactly what we wanted to change.
We both have entrepreneurial backgrounds and spent many years in leadership positions. We know that a good idea only becomes something relevant when products are available, processes work, partners cooperate and customers can develop trust.
That is why we founded von Hanf. Not because we simply wanted to build yet another company, but because we are convinced that regenerative building materials must be commercially successful if they are to make a real difference.
Today we bring together manufacturers, expertise, planning, logistics and sales, supported by specialist planners, building physicists, strategic partners, legal advisors and technical support. Step by step, our own renovation project has grown into a company that today offers a broad range of hemp building materials — from hemp blocks and insulation to drywall, acoustic and system solutions.
We did not wait for the perfect moment. Change rarely begins once all the answers are already in place. It begins with taking responsibility and making the first step.
