Hemplith® Therm

The rigid insulation board of hemp fibres.

Hemplith® Therm is a dimensionally stable, compression-resistant hemp-fibre insulation board for thermal and sound insulation — in new builds and renovation alike.

It consists of 85% hemp fibres and 15% support fibres and not only insulates reliably but also stores heat. This provides good heat protection in summer and pleasant warmth in winter.

As a vapour-open, moisture-regulating natural material, Therm creates a pleasant indoor climate and is recyclable at the end of its life.

Installation

Cut to size and fit precisely.

The boards can be cut to exact size with an insulation saw, electric handsaw or alligator saw — for seamless, tight joints.

In a plastered external build-up the boards are butted tightly from bottom to top, laid offset, plumb and aligned, and dowelled independently of the substrate. Fill joints under 5 mm with loose hemp wool and avoid larger joints.

From 100 mm insulation thickness the boards are supplied as bonded composite boards. Adhesive, dowels, reinforcement and plaster must match an approved system.
