The climate board for interior fit-out.
The Hemplith® Mineralboard is an ecological, vapour-open and low-flammability hemp building board — a drywall board for interior use. It consists of hemp — an annually renewable raw material — and minerals.
As a living-space board it is used for thermal insulation, mould remediation, drywall, interior and roof fit-out, partition walls and moisture regulation.
This way the Mineralboard contributes to a pleasant indoor climate — a natural alternative to plasterboard and conventional climate boards.
Properties of the Mineralboard
Where the Mineralboard is used
Bond over the full surface — using common tools.
The substrate must be load-bearing and free of old coatings such as oil paint or dispersions. Level unevenness with lime plaster and prime highly absorbent substrates with a bonding primer.
On existing walls and ceilings the boards are bonded over the full surface with a vapour-open reinforcing mortar (8–10 mm notched trowel), in a bond with at least 30 cm offset. On ceilings, additionally secure with screws and washer plates.
For drywall, build a sub-frame with max. 40 cm stud spacing (slopes and ceilings max. 30 cm). Finish only with a thin, vapour-open plaster (lime, clay) — no dispersions, wallpaper or dense plasters.
